Josh Hartnett in Talks for ’Jack of Hearts’

Espionage revenge thriller to part shoot in Naples

Josh Hartnett is in advanced negotiations to re - team with writer director Guy Moshe (“Bunraku”) for “The Last Draw of Jack of Hearts” which is billed as a neo-noir espionage thriller.

Disrupting Influence’s Glenn Kendrick Ackermann and Jason Piette have acquired worldwide sales rights to the film. They will introduce it to buyers at the Toronto Intl. Film Festival. Producer Mark Holdom announced Friday that “Jack of Hearts” will initiate principal photography in March in Naples and Lithuania.

It turns on Jack, the leading member of a mercenary outfit who is shot in the back and left for dead. He returns to his former Naples base for revenge, and to re-unite with the woman he loves. But events soon take a violent turn.

“I have spent some wonderful years living in Italy and always dreamed about coming back to do another film there”, - Holdom said at the Venice Festival. He added: “This script feels like the perfect creative opportunity, and we couldn’t be more excited about working with Josh Hartnett, who was always Guy’s first choice for the lead role.”

Holdom, Moshe and Matthew G. Zamias produce “Jack of Hearts” alongside Karolis Malinauskas of Lituanica Films, Lorenzo von Lorch and Talking Tree’s Leonardo Araneo in Italy, and Chimera Pictures’ Pedro Tarantino Pimentel with Ackermann and Piette. Nigel Smart and Harris Tulchin executive produce.

Hartnett starred alongside Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson in Moshe’s 2010 “Bunraku,” another revenge-themed movie. He is repped by UTA, Management 360, and Sloan, Offer, Weber & Dern. Moshe is repped by CAA and Echo Lake Management.
